Philip Mountain Obituary
Visitation for Philip will take place from 5 to 7 p.m at the Neilan Funeral Home on 48 Grand Street in Niantic, Connecticut on Sunday, January 27. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 28 at St. Agnes Church located at 22 Haigh Avenue in Niantic, Connecticut. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miracle League of Southeastern CT Multi-Sports Field Project, The Miracle League of CT, 47 Upson St. Bristol, CT 06010. A full obituary will be published in Saturday's edition of The Day.

Dear Mountain Family,
I'm so very sorry to hear of Mr. Mountains passing, he was a remarkable human being and a wonderful friend. His patience, kindness, compassion and honest love for family and the children in his care was inspirational to me on many levels.
He was such a tremendous help when the DARE program grew and flourished in Montville Schools and I will forever remember his kindness and friendly mentorship.
I'm grateful for having had the opportunity to meet Phil and his family and know that you all have enriched my life and many more for certain. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you Phil for your contributions to children, family and friends. You will be sorely missed but surely never forgotten. God bless you my friend.

Will always remember the kindnesses of Mr Mountain when my boys were on his little league team. Such a
powerful role model for all the boys on his team as well as a wonderful citizen. A great loss to the community. My deepest sympathy to Mimi and the boys and family.
