Randy Michael Chamberland

Moosup - Randy Michael Chamberland, age 58, died Wednesday Oct. 22, 2025, at home surrounded by family and friends.

Randy was born Feb. 3, 1967, to Donald and Kathleen (Roy) Chamberland, who predeceased him.

Randy lived in Moosup his entire life; he was a self-employed truck driver, owning and operating RC Trucking. Prior to owning his own truck, he worked for Butch's No Name Trucking.

Affectionately known as "the Governor of Moosup," Randy was a life member of the Moosup Fire Department for 38 years.

Randy's family was involved in stock car racing and motorcross sponsored by Butch's No Name Trucking.

Randy enjoyed going to game dinners and Foxwoods Casino for bingo with friends. He very much enjoyed going out to eat, a favorite being the Matunuck Oyster Bar. For many years, Randy was involved in the VJ Day Parade, driving the truck for the Jolly Jester Clowns, and also dressing up as one.

Randy is survived by his companion of 37 years Holly Tetreault; his son Brandon Chamberland and his wife Nicole (Waterman) of Moosup; his brother Scott and his wife Sharon of Moosup; his brother John and his wife Julie of Plainfield; and his sister Karen and her husband Lou LaFrance of Moosup.

Randy is also survived by six grandchildren: Kendall, Kaylee and Ryan Chamberland, Jameson, Rhyleigh and Emleigh Bunn and their parents Britni and Kyle Bunn. Randy leaves behind a great-aunt, Irene Roy, an aunt Maureen and uncle Leo King and their family of Brooklyn; and his godparents, Rudy and Jackie Trahan. Randy also leaves behind his cousins, nieces and nephews; and a lot of awesome friends, including best friends, Pam Walenta, the Barr families, Pat Vichard, Tommy Tetreault and his landlord John and wife Darlene. Randy was predeceased by two sons, Donald Paul Chamberland and Ryan Lee Tetreault-Chamberland; as well as his brother Gary Chamberland; and Gary's son Nathan Chamberland.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Nov. 22, at All Hallows Church in Moosup. Donations can be made to the M.F.D. in Moosup or St. Andre Bessette Parish, Moosup.
