Richard Chidester Obituary
Richard, who many called Rick, was born on April 19, 1963 in Norwich. Rick and his family lived in Montville for 33 years until 1996 when he moved to Alabama for the last 18 years of his life. Rick was the life of the party.
He loved camping, fishing, Nascar, football, horseshoes and family friend gatherings. Rick was a fun guy and will be greatly missed by all of his friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews he leaves behind.
Rick is survived by his father, Don Chidester; his two brothers, Don and Dale Chidester; and his sister, Kathy Goswellin. He is also survived by his stepsiblings, Wendell Reeves, Scott Reeves and Rachel McDonald; and the mother of his first two children, Laurie Chidester. He will especially be missed by his three sons, Jason, Casey and Hunter Chidester.
Rick was preceded by his mother, Linda Chidester; stepmother, Diane Chidester; and second wife, Debbie Chidester.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April the 14, in Coleman, Ala. at Moss Funeral Home. A private friend and family gathering in Connecticut will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 19, in honor of Rick Chidester at his son, Jason Chidester's house.
