Richard Shine Obituary
He was born on July 22, 1939, in New London, the son of the late Cornelius J. and Lola (Green) Shine.
Mr. Shine retired from Sears after 39 years as a manager. He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1966.
He is survived by a daughter, Stacey Shine and her husband, Scott Souza; two grandchildren, Isabella Souza and Evan Souza; and a sister, Teresa Messina.
He was predeceased by three brothers, John P. Shine, James F. Shine, and Cornelius "Bud" J. Shine Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 15, at St. Joseph Church, Squire St., New London. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Jefferson Ave., New London. There are no calling hours.
The Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
