Robert Hilster Obituary
Bobby was a resident with Bayview Healthcare Center for the last 21 years. He was the most lovable soul on this earth and loved everyone, touching all that walked through the Bayview Healthcare Center. He was known for his embracing hugs. His smile and radiant sparkle in his eyes showed his love to the babies and children he hugged throughout the years. Bobby's athletic abilities were amazing - hitting a ball at least 100 feet!
Bobby is survived by his loving and devoted brother, Charles William Hilster Jr.; nieces, Deborah Hoch (Bruce), Shirley Carpin (Jeff), Lisa Gillespie (Jim); grand nephews and niece who dearly loved him. He was welcomed home with eternal open arms by his parents, Charles and Arlene Hilster; sister-in-law Shirley Ann Hilster; and his nephew Charles William Hilster III.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, at East Neck Cemetery, Waterford. If you wish, the Hilster family requests memorial donations in Robert Hilster's name be made to the Bayview Healthcare Center, Recreation Department, 301 Rope Ferry Road, Waterford, CT 06385.

I remember Bobby looking out the window for the truck, and when he would walk up to you not say a word, but lean into you, which met he wanted you to rub his head or back. I will miss him.

My grandmother loved Bobby. He would color her pictures and she proudly hung them in her room. He was truly a blessing!
