Rose Negri Obituary
She was born Aug. 30, 1918 in New London, the daughter of the late Antonio and Ida Vilanna Morano.
She attended local schools and graduated from the former Williams Memorial Institute.
She married Dominic "Joe" Negri on March 17, 1959 in Montville. Mr. Negri died Aug. 22, 1994.
Mrs. Negri was employed at the former St. Bernard's Girls School and Electric Boat, retiring in 1973. She was an avid bingo player and loved animals.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Joyce Roark, of Groton, and Patrick and Janice Roark, of New London; a sister, Antoinette Marono; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11 am in the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Interment will take place in Hawaii with her late husband.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

Aunt Rose you are with the angels now and healthy and full of life as I will always remember you with love. To her sons, you are both lucky to have had her for a mom.
