Russ Erpenbeck Obituary
He was born April 4, 1956, in New London, son of the late Richard Allen Erpenbeck and Joan Claire (Waddington) Erpenbeck.
Russ was a U.S. Navy veteran, navigating on the submarine USS Lipscomb. He was a lifetime member of the Clarksburg VFW Post 573 and American Legion Post 13. Russ was a captain of fishing boats. He enjoyed playing cards, pool, crafts and cooking.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Kay (Henderson) Erpenbeck; three stepchildren; and a sister, Robin Abbot of New London. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Allen Erpenbeck.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, at the Davis Funeral Home in Clarksburg, W.Va. Interment will follow at West Virginia National Cemetery.

Russ and I worked together on the Mijoy and spent many a day at sea and he was a great shipmate and friend . The days we spent at sea were some of the best days of my life, we worked hard and had a lot of fun out there.calm seas and fair winds my friend. My condolences to the family.

Russ made the best clam fritters and always hosted guests on cooking days in his ktchen he was a great cook and brother in law.Tammy was his soulmate. .his smile was in pure love of living .The world is abetter place for having him in it .as he touched many hearts.Salute to you Captain Rusty.peace and joy in Heaven.sincerely Lori and girls.
