Sally Scott Obituary

North Stonington - Sally Ann (Speight) Scott, 89, of North Stonington, passed away peacefully Nov. 3, 2024. Born April 4, 1935, in Wakefield, R..I, to Harry and Mary Speight, Sally lived a life defined by love, laughter and a deep devotion to her family.

After growing up in Wakefield and graduating from South Kingstown High School, Sally met Franklin Scott, or "Scottie" as she called him. The two shared 64 wonderful years together, creating a life filled with family, love and countless memories.

Sally was the heart of her family, a devoted mother to Glenn Scott and Marybeth (David) Liguori; and a beloved grandmother to Jennifer (Andy) Briggs, Jessica (Kyle) Thompson, Christopher (Kelly) Liguori, Elizabeth Liguori and Scott Liguori. Her five great-grandchildren were a source of endless pride and joy.

Sally made each of her loved ones feel uniquely valued and cherished, leaving a legacy of love that will be carried forward in their hearts. She found happiness in life's simple pleasures, including her home, annual trips to Florida with her husband, playing golf with friends, and spending quality time with those around her.

Sally's legacy is one of love, strength and an unwavering dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In accordance with Sally's wishes, a private service will be held by the family. For online condolences, please visit www.buckler-johnston.com.

Marybeth and Glenn, Our condolences on the passing of a wonderful friend. She will be missed and remembered often. The memories of so many years of shared friendship, barbeques, serious and not-so-serious conversations will be treasured always. While, it is sad that she has passed, we know she hasn't been well lately. She and "Scottie" are joined again which should bring great comfort.

Sally was a delightful and beautiful person. It was always a pleasure to be in her company. I first met Sally when I began working at Wheeler High School in the mid 1980´s. Sally was so friendly and welcoming to me which I so appreciated. She was always interesting, and interested and full of spirit. She and Frank were an outstanding couple. I will always remember them and miss them both . It was always a pleasure to visit them in their lovely home in North Stonington. My heartfelt condolences to Glenn and Mary Beth and their families.
With sympathy and Affection

Sally was an extraordinary woman who was ageless in spirit, a true friend, and a constant source of joy. To me, she was timeless. She had a youthful energy and a wisdom that made her feel ageless, like she was somehow outside the bounds of time. She connected with everyone-regardless of their age or stage in life-because she truly cared, and she truly listened. Her humor, her warmth, and her spirit will live on in all of us. Rest peacefully Sally, you will be greatly missed.
