You were a dad to me and gave me the best little brother I could ever imagine. Your impact on my life as a little girl was greater than I think many people realized. You bought me my first kitten, man did that make me happy. You taught me how to eat a sandwich without getting mayo all over my cheeks haha. I'm going to miss you and I promise to be there for Junior whenever he needs me. I love you always. And if anything good came out of this, I'm glad you're no longer struggling. Until we meet again ❤

Thank you so much for sharing the story of Sam, and his struggles with addiction. Too often we are left to "assume " and I am so grateful you are sharing his story for the community. Addiction touches us all. It is not an ugly little secret, it affects every member of our society. So sorry for your immeasurable loss off a beloved son, brother, father, husband, uncle, nephew, friend. And thank your for showing us a multilayered man, lost to a terrible disease.
