Sharon Staub Obituary
She graduated from East Lyme High School in 1973, before attending Castleton University and Western Connecticut State University. Sharon was employed as a private daycare provider for many years and worked at Bailey and Staub as well as Weight No Longer, officially retiring in 2022. She was a business owner, owning "The Flag Shop" in downtown Niantic, pursuing her love and passion for flags.
Sharon enjoyed sewing, Bunko, baking, reading, but most of all spending time with friends and family.
Sharon was predeceased by her son, Matt Staub, who passed away in 2020. She is survived by her husband, Nicholas Staub III "Dusty," of 49 years. Sharon is also survived by her son Nicholas Staub IV and wife Larissa of Niantic; daughter Kaitlyn Staub Perry of Niantic; her beloved granddaughter Lila Perry of Niantic; sister Susan Hall and husband Kelly of Mystic; Sally Clark of Coventry; sister-in-law Bailey Johnson and husband Richard of Ellsworth, Maine; brother-in-law Charles Staub of Niantic; nephew Michael Hall and wife Sarah; niece Ashley Fogarty and husband Andrew; niece Kelley Clark; nephew Timothy Clark; niece Codie Montigny and husband Taylor; nephew Richard Johnson; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Niantic Bay Yacht Club on 8 Shore Road in Niantic.
Memorial contributions may be made to YNHH at Home Hospice, 753 Boston Post Road, Suite 200, Guilford, CT 06437, attention: Hospice. Contributions may also be made to the L+M Hospital Development Fund and include Smilow Cancer Patient Assistance, Waterford, CT, in the memo line.

Dusty and family
So sad to learn of Sharon´s passing. I can´t say that I knew her well but I can say that when I was lucky enough to be with her I enjoyed her company. She was a gentle person with a sweet disposition. Please accept my sincere condolences and call on me if I can help in anyway at all.

So many good memories of Shari in our formative years in Niantic. I treasure the thoughts of our friendship and all the many good times we had as we learned about life and watched ourselves and others grow.
