I am so glad to have known Shirley. Even though I had not seen her in a couple decades, I can still remember the sound of her voice. She was such a cool and fun person. I am glad we were in the same group of people being baptized, along with her sister, Deb. I look forward to seeing her again!

My condolences to Ms. Shirley family and friends. I was opportune to work with her at the navy base for few months before retiring. She was very hardworking and ready to learn new things. She also loves the Golden Girls show and she will ask me if I know the casts on the show. I will smile and we'll both laugh about it. She will always say good night ma'am see you tomorrow after we have had a long day at work. She was sweet and kind. I miss her after she retired but will miss her more now that she's resting. Rest well Ms. Shirley.

My condolences to her family. I work at the clinic on the base, and had numerous conversations with Shirley. She was very kind and caring.

Shirl was like a sister to me for so many years. I have countless fond memories of fun times with her -- meeting for a drink at the Montville Polish Club, going to Ocean Beach, driving around aimlessly just to chat, having yum dinners at her house (in Montville, at the time). May loving remembrances of her comfort Deb, Diane and Brian, and the rest of the family, at this time.

My grandma Shirley was always a quite and reserved woman. But behind closed doors she was quite funny and enjoyed family gatherings with everyone around. Gonna miss you grandma

Wonderful memories of Shirley with our Christian Singles groups. Laughter and fun cruising the Ct River, weekly gathering and Bible study with our singles group. May she be welcomed home by those from our group that embrace her. Praise our Lord she is home with loved ones.

Mom, I'm so glad we had this past year together to get to know each other again. You were patient with us, compassionate and had the perfect amount of feistiness. I only wish we had had more time. But I will see you again. I love you and miss you and love seeing your smile on the obituary picture. Love, your daughter Diane
