Sonia Nunez-Pereira Obituary

Groton - Sonia Nunez-Pereira, 68, of Groton, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born Aug. 24, 1956, in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Florencio Nunez Ortiz and Petra Mercado Ortiz.

She is survived by her husband, Sanjay Pereira; one son, Patrick Gonzalez, of Allentown, Pa.; three daughters, Stephanie Gonzalez of Allentown, Pa., Soleika Gonzalez of Greenwich, and Sonia Milagros Colon of New Rochelle, N.Y.; three brothers; five sisters; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
