Stefania Argento Obituary
Stefania emigrated to the U.S. in 1977, with her family, settling in New London. Stefania's life mission was to provide care for her family, first as the eldest child of eight to her brothers and sisters, and then to her spouse, children and grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish.
She is survived by three children, Rosario Argento of New Jersey, Salvatore Argento of Waterford, and Crocetta Argento of Maryland; two grandchildren, Stefania McDade and Jessica Hyde; and three great-grandchildren, Amya and Danielle McDade and Kennedy Hyde; five siblings: Salvatore, Angelo, Giuseppe and Margherita Cacciatore, and Rosa Sferrazza. She was predeceased by two sisters, Maria Piccolo and Concetta Zito.
Her family would like to offer sincere thanks and gratitude to the amazing staff of Bayview Health Center who gave such great care to her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, in St. Joseph Church, New London, followed by Interment in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be private. The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London, has been entrusted with her care.
