Born in Syracuse, N.Y., he was the son of the late Henry and Bella Touranjoe and brother of Paul and Sandy Touranjoe of Syracuse and Anne Marie and William "Pistol" Ritter of Forestport, N.Y. Terry's second family, his in-laws, will equally miss him. Mother and father, Arthur and Deloris Paradise; brother, Len and Peggy Paradise; sisters, Jane Paradise and Lorraine and Paul White; and a host of nieces and nephews are left behind with love and memories of Terry.
Terry was a graduate of Most Holy Rosary High School, Syracuse and West Texas State University, alumni '83. Terry worked at Nationwide Insurance as the director of claims for the New England region. He was proud of his career and his ability to make positive change. Bowlers across the nation will miss Terry Lee Touranjoe! He was on the Collegiate All-American men's team in 1982-83 and received numerous rewards and trophies for his bowling accomplishments. He served on the Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven committee; taught the Catholic faith to sons and daughters of Christ the King Church in Old Lyme, and volunteered his time to others in a great number of ways.
Terry was known for his fun-loving, easy-going character and a smile that was contagious to all. He enjoyed traveling, walking the beach, sunsets, entertaining, parties, and spent every available moment with his boys including hours in the bowling alley. Thank you to those who traveled Terry's journey with him, never leaving him or his family feeling alone. The community response to all the family's needs was nothing short of divine. Terry called these friends and family his angels; God's response to our prayers.
The funeral procession will assemble at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 13 Beckwith Lane, and will proceed to a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Church, 1 McCurdy Road, Old Lyme. Burial will follow in Duck River Cemetery, Old Lyme. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, at the funeral home. A memorial service, with reception to follow, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at Most Holy Rosary, 111 Roberts Ave., Syracuse, N.Y.

I have never met a person, in my lifetime, with so much character, integrity and passion as Terry. He has set the "gold standard" to live by. He was a very good freind to me. I always knew that I could call upon him to assist me in any way and he would always be there for me. I will forever have many, many stories to tell my daughter, Samantha, about how inspiring Terry really was to me. We had so many good times, good laughs, good cries, and good memories together that they will last a lifetime. I don't think I will ever meet anyone that will ever compare to Terry (except maybe his family).
He will be missed!
Love,
Ed, Joleene and Samantha Rose Fiske

"...I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.
Though some day we all have to part with those we love, they are not lost. We are always better for having loved. In this way, love transcends even death."
~~Leo Buscaglia~~
To the Touranjoe family and friends, may all the love and laughter shared continue to carry and support you in this difficult time.
