Thomas Kelly Obituary
Tom grew up in New London and attended New London Schools. He spent his entire life on the shoreline, in his youth he was always outside swimming, sailing, fishing, and crabbing with friends and his many cousins. Tom's love of the shoreline and Long Island Sound led him to a career as a marine mechanic. This was the ideal career for him as he was an avid boater, diver, and fisherman.
He is survived by his mother, Eugenie B. Kelly of New London; his sister Eugenie "Jeanie" A. Kelly of Waterford; two nieces, Megan E. Kelly of New London, Kerrie E. Kelly; and her daughters, Farrah and Isabelle of Quaker Hill.
He was predeceased by his father Thomas Joseph Kelly Sr.; his brother Patrick M. Kelly; paternal grandparents, Michael and Ellen Kelly; maternal grandparents, Francis and Mary Brennan; uncles, Daniel, Eugene, James, John, Philip, and Terrance Brennan; aunts, Barbra Salerno, Eileen McInich, Francis Flynn, Jacqueline Karn, Kathleen Brennan, and Natalie Brannian.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Smilow Cancer Hospital, Save the Sound, or an animal rescue of your choice.
There will be no calling hours, and funeral services will be private.

Please Accept my Condolences on the passing of Thomas. Having grown up around Caulkins Park knowing your family. Crabbing, fishing, building and repairing fishing rods in the basement.
