Thomas Kilcollum Obituary
Tom graduated from Norwich Free Academy, Class of 1974. He married Madonna McAvoy July 29, 1977, in Norwich. He was commercial accounts manager at Bouvier Insurance Agency in Waterford. He was a founding member and deacon of FaithWay Community Church, Danielson.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 12, at Cottontail Farm, 160 Pinch Street, Scotland. A full spread of Tom's favorite cookout foods will be served from 12:30 to 4 p.m. During the celebration, we invite you to share some of your memories, a special song or show some "Tom Spirit" and wear Red Sox, Beatles, Bob Ross, or patriotic-themed attire. Please bring a lawn chair. In lieu of flowers, please consider an online donation to one of Tom's favorite charities: Rhode Island Ovarian Cancer Alliance (RIOCA), https://www.riovarian.org; Disabled American Veterans (DAV), https://www.ihelpveterans.org; or FaithWay Community Church, https://faithwayct.com.

I'm so sorry, Donna. Sympathies and prayers are extended to the beautiful family you built together and to all of his friends as well. This world's loss is heaven's gain. I was thinking about the cheeky articles Tom wrote in his column that were so entertaining, yet made us think too. I hadn't been reading much at all for the past year or more. (trying to avoid news and keep positive.) I didn't know what made me think of his column, seemingly out of the blue, but when I searched for them, I soon found out. His smiling face was on my screen, but not for the reason I expected. I was shocked and saddened to say the least. I only wish I could have found out many weeks ago so that I could have joined the celebration of his life with you all. I hope, and I imagined, when Tom arrived and was greeted by the crowd of friends and family, that Reed was somewhere in the background...........giving a welcoming wave.

Not sure we have ever seen Tom without a beautiful happy smile on his face! He is one in a million and we will miss him terribly. One of the most happy-go-lucky people we know! We love you Tom.

My dear friends and family.
Our hearts are broken hearing about the passing of Tom. He will be missed by everyone who loves him. There are really not any words to describe what a special man he was. Everyone that had the pleasure of knowing Tom realizes how much he meant to everyone. He married Madonna, his Hs sweetheart. They had a beautiful life together. My deepest sympathy to all of you. We know God has a special plan for him as he starts his journey in Heaven, servings our Lord. “Who doesn’t love Tom”

My deepest sympathies go out to Madonna and all of Tom's Family. I only had a couple interactions with Tom, but he was a very kind person, eager to help out and had a wonderful outlook on life. A wonderful life taken to soon.
