Dr. Osborne saw my cat, Liverbits, when he was ill several times at Mt. Airy animal hospital. His kindness and gentleness always calmed both myself and Liverbits down. His concern for my pet always made me feel special. I will miss seeing Dr. Osborne.

Dearest Tash, Zoe, & Finn. My heart aches for you with the loss of our beloved Tom. He was such an amazing man - friend, doctor, father, husband. Words cannot say how much he will be missed. Working side by side with Tomato for almost 8 years was always fun, educational, and full of surprises. I still remember meeting him for the first time at Purdy Vet and watching him grow as a doctor. He had such compassion for the animals, both his own and his clients. What a treasure it was to know him.

I am honored to keep his name alive with my new son, Christopher Thomas. I look forward to sharing all my Tom stories with him as he grows up.

Always remember Tom's sparkling, elfish smile and twinkly eyes! His light is shining brightly over the Rainbow Bridge, loving all the creatures that he held so dear to his heart.

I send my love and prayers to your family.

Love,

Rangaroo

Dear Tash, Zoe, and Finn,

I don't know why God blessed me with Tom's friendship, but I am so grateful. Tom was a truly unique and thoughtful soul, who could light up every day with his smile. I have such happy memories of working by his side. He could always make me laugh. We also had many memorable philosophical discussions. He deeply touched every person he contacted, whether he knew them for years, or had just made their acquaintance. How can we keep his light alive? We can try to be more like him. Just remember his face, that window to his soul.

With love,

Pat Dorsey

Tash, I have had a small insight into where you are right now and I'm so incredibly sorry. I hold you and the kids in my heart. Tom was one of the best doctors I've ever known and had the honor of calling my friend. He made going to work each day fun. The old group may not be there anymore, but we're never far from each other's hearts.

Oh Dr. Tomato, you touched so many. You have left a whole in so many of our hearts. Give Natalie a hug for me when you see her.

Love, Jami

Dear Tash, Zoe and Finn,

I am so sorry to hear of Tom's death. I loved Tom. He was my favorite vet ever, and one of the lovliest human beings I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Who else would spend 45 minutes doing local anesthesia to take skin tags off my elderly and somewhat cranky dog Nat? And he always treated my dogs like they were his favorites ever, although I suspect that he treated everone's animals like that.

And I'll never forget his face when he stepped into our swimming pool holding Zoe "boy, you really do keep your pool warm!". I then stuck my hand in it and realized the whole pool was as hot as a hottub. The thermostat had accidentally been turned up to the highest temperature possible. Pretty funny!!

And I will always remember how proud Tom was of Zoe and then Finn also. He never failed to tell me of your most recent accomplishments and how wonderful you were. There was no doubt that he adored both of you.

We will miss him and remember him always.

love, Danae

Dear Tash, Zoe, and Finn,

I am so sorry to here about Tom. I feel so privilaged to have been able to know and work with him for the short time that I did. He was an incredible human being, who had the biggest heart of anyone that I know. He always took care of my dog Reggie, and I will always be greatful for that. Thank you for letting me be apart of your lives. Tomato, You Rock, and I am glad that I could call you my friend.

Dear Deborah, Fred, Tash, Sophie, Jessie, Adam and the whole family: I know that words are small comfort at a time like this, but I want you to know that I am thinking of you all. I have never known a world without Tom in it somewhere, with his wonderful smile that made crescents of his face. I know that that smile goes on and will be following all of you along with his love for the rest of your lives.

All my love, Kristen
