On this third anniversary of Tina’s absence in our lives her presence continues to make me smile. I am grateful she did not have to suffer through this year of COVID and separation. But I wish she had been here with us to give us support and hope. A new year begins. Much love to her granddaughter and sons. ❤

Tina reached out to me as a first year principal in 2007 and taught me how to navigate Hartford Public Schools with integrity, humor and tenacity. I am grateful for her friendship both at work and outside. We traveled together and made plans for the future. Talked about our sons and beloved granddaughters. We shared stories, hopes and dreams. I last had lunch with her in August as she became weaker but she continued texting me with updates...and hopes for a return trip to San Juan in 2018....
I was able to visit her on her last day with us and to
hold her hand one last time, as she had held mine back in 2007. A short friendship. A long lasting memory. My love and condolences to her sons and granddaughter. Rest In Peace.

Tina and I were friends and roommates at SJC. We lived together her senior year my junior year. The memories are still vivid in my mind--the parties at the Trinity, the trip to Spain--and all the laughter. We may have gone our separate ways but the memories last a lifetime. Tina--Thanks for the laughter, the friendship and the heartfelt memories. Chris

I was truly saddened to hear of Tina's untimely passing. She was my evaluator during my early years at South Middle School (Bellizzi). She helped me transition from working in a clinical community setting to an educational one. She always supported me and respected my work as the school social worker. She was always positive and upbeat but always the professional. Tina was sensitive to children's needs and supported them in their own academic and personal journeys.

I knew how important her sons and family were to her. She spoke of them often and was so proud of them and what she was able to do for them. Her accomplishments always amazed me.

Words can not express the sense of loss I feel knowing she has left us and so young. You are all in my prayers and meditations. I know she is shining down her love and her smile upon you. So so sorry for the loss of your mother and our dear colleague.

I am saddened to hear the passing of Dr. Jeter. She hired me ten years ago at McDonough School, right out of college, the school that my father attended as a child. I am still an educator in Hartford today thanks to her. She was a wonderful woman who always stopped to say hello when our paths crossed in Hartford following our time at McDonough. May she Rest In Peace.

My condolences to family and friends. My memories of Dr. Jeter are many as she left her logical, strong, distinct but so sweet imprint on many of our lives at Parkville. Her years here, although not many in number, touched our staff and children with dedication and a sense of expertise, guidance, encouragement and fairness seldom felt these days. Her commitment to excellence will continue to live on especially for those special education students who often needed many kind words and encouragement. She will ne though often with a smile and inspiration especially for me.

To Tina's sons and family,
Tina was truly a remarkable mom, sister, cousin, and daughter. She valued education and bettering herself. She always had a purpose and reason for learning and reaching higher goals. She was a good example to her sons, and to many others who crossed Tina's path. A strong, positive woman who reached so many goals so that she and her family could have a good life.
She will be greatly missed by all. May God Bless her and keep her safe in his loving company, and in the company of so many of our loved ones who have gone on to Heaven with her.
