Vincenzo DiGangi Obituary

Las Vegas, Nev. - Vincenzo DiGangi Sr., 87, passed away in Las Vegas, Nev., Feb. 28, 2022, in the care of his loving companion Micky Donch. Vincent was born in Tusa, Italy on May 28, 1935, to Ignazio and Rosaira DiGangi.

Together with his family, he ran a very successful business known and loved by all, which would become a staple in the community of Norwich.

Vincent was known for his generosity and love of people, when anyone came into his Donut shop, they were treated like family. He always gave the kids dough to play with which brought a smile to their faces. Being the true Italian he was, Vince, loved a good a glass of wine along with a piece of homemade bread. If he wasn't listening to the horse races with his friends, he could be found play craps at Wynn Casino in Las Vegas where he developed great friendships.

Vincenzo was predeceased by his wife Jean DiGangi. He is survived by two sons, Vincenzo Jr. and Joseph; six grandchildren, Vince III, Anthony, Kristin McDade, Amber, Ashley, and Joseph Jr.; along with six great-grandchildren, Angelina, Nadia, Vince IV, Sofia McDade, Olivia, and Andrew.

Vincenzo had a favorite saying he told everyone "The Best Things In Life Amore, Pane e Vino".

I didn't know Mr. DiGangi personally but I knew his donuts. My dad always made a point of bringing home Dandy Donuts whenever he could. And I'm now 66 yrs old. He had a wonderful dream and was a wonderful man. God Bless him for all the people he made happy, including me.

Sending my condolences to Vinnie and Joe and their families on the passing of their Dad. Mr. DiGangi was a great friend with my father and family. I had the opportunity to work for him part time on the weekend years ago at his donut shop. I loved hearing about his stories from Sicily and learning about our Italian culture- I even picked up some Italian words and sayings. Everyone loved stopping in the shop to get the best donuts in town. If there is a dice table in heaven, I´m sure he and my Dad will be standing side my side. Rest easy Mr DiGangi.
