I was saddened to hear of her passing. I enjoyed Miss Palmer's geometry class. She was able to make this dry subject interesting. My freshman year of college she visited Ithaca and took me and the other Cornell students from our high school out to dinner. It was a very nice gesture.

Miss Palmer was SO kind to me as a struggling math student. She was mild-mannered and sweet. I never understood why she was different than other teachers who saw me struggle with math or science.....she just showed me what I now recognize as dignity.
in 1988 I ran into her again at Groton Bible Chapel, as a new Christian. She remembered me by NAME! It was then that I realized just how and why she was so respectful of her students, including the non-mathy ones :) She loved Jesus and loved people made in His image. I got to fellowship with her for a few years before moving out of state. She was a great lady.

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Palmer's passing...she was my 10th grade geometry teacher, and was very good at her job!

Mrs. Palmer was such a dedicated math teacher. She always remembered her students' birthdays by placing a peanut butter cup on their desks so it was there when they arrived to class. Mrs. Palmer would wear her green skirt and make writing proofs so fun. She was a wonderful teacher and person. With sympathy from a former student, Molly Cullen Quiles

Miss Palmer was one of the best. I was her paper boy for many years, and she was a blessing to have in the neighborhood. My deepest condolences to all who loved her.

Miss Palmer was one of my favorite teachers. She gave to me and to so many others the enduring compliment of her high expectations of us.

This was a great lady, God rest her soul. We were blessed to live next door to her and 35 years later, we still talk about her and how wonderful a person she was! Now that's an impact, and you can probably multiply that by thousands since she was a teacher for 35 years. I bet you'd never fit at a funeral all the people Ginny has positively impacted in her life. She was a lady who loved Jesus Christ and she shared her Christian faith freely, making an impact in that way as well.
Surely God has prepared a special and lovely place for Ginny. I wish I had told her how appreciative we were of her.
