He was born in Middletown, the son of the late William and Ruth (Perkins) LeClair.
Wayne had been employed with Pelletier Sheet Metal. He enjoyed playing baseball and was an avid fisherman.
Wayne is survived by his fiancée, Deb LaMontagne, of Higganum; three daughters, Heather LeClair of Montville, Stacy LeClair of Norwich and Amanda LeClair of New London; two brothers, Raymond LeClair of Norwich and William LeClair of Vermont; three sisters, Shirley Monte of Deep River, Frances Woitysiak of Texas and Winifred Parmelee of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Biega Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.
