William served in the United States Army and earned an associate degree in Electrical Engineering from Thames Valley Technical College and studied Computer Engineering at the University of New Haven.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington Street in New London. Burial is private.

Uncle Bill You will be greatly missed. Your personality and joy was infectious. You grew up with my father Neil Saari who unfortunately passed a few years ago but I always knew you as family. Every time with you was memorable from the trip when I was little and you followed us out to Wyoming on your motorcycle and you got caught in the heavy rain storm and had to hop in the car to when I graduated high school and you where at my graduation party. You will always be in my thoughts.
