Wilma Hood Obituary

Wilma M. (Knopp) Hood, 94, of New Alexandria, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, in Crest Personal Care Home. Born June 14, 1919, in Scottdale, Wilma was a daughter of the late Aaron and Marie Bodenheimer. She was a member of New Stanton Assembly of God, and was retired from McCrory's in Scottdale. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 446. Besides her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hood; and a sister, Dorothy Graft. She is survived by two sons, Louis H. Knopp and wife, Anita, of Derry, and John E. Knopp and wife, Becky, of Southwest; 10 grandchildren, Peggy, Louie, John Jr., James, Kim, Timothy, Michael, Diane, David and Stephen; and 29 great-grandchildren. There will be no public visitations. Services and interment are private. Arrangements handled by the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe, PA 15650. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Vicki and the staff at Crest Personal Care Home for their excellent care and compassion.
