A. Lanterman Obituary

A. Kirk Lanterman

Seattle - My best friend and beloved husband A. Kirk Lanterman died November 1st at home in Seattle surrounded by those he loved.

Kirk truly made an impact in his nearly 88 years of an incredible and meaningful life well spent.

•An avidly proud North Dakotan he loved and lived the values of the state where he grew up.

•A combat veteran of the Korean War, Kirk lived the horrors of war and held a deep respect for all fellow veterans.

•A very successful businessman, Kirk relished working, and really enjoyed the challenges and the competition

•He reviled boastful and arrogant people and was humbled at being lauded by his peers and friends

•His sense of humor and keen wit was unrivaled and appreciated by all who really knew him

•Four daughters, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren were his greatest success

•Kirk truly believed that the employees of Holland America Line were the reason for the company's success; he was just there lead the pack.

I could go on for pages about Kirk's kindness and generosity, but those who knew him already know all about that.

A memorial services will be held for Kirk in Palm Desert CA, at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday January 18th 11AM Mass followed by a reception.

May the Angels and Our Lord enjoy you now and let me say " Job Well done".
