Arlene M. Harris
Rancho Mirage - Arlene M. Harris, nee Drew, 86 of Rancho Mirage CA and formerly of Highland Park IL; beloved wife of the late Jerome for 61 wonderful years; loving mother of Mark, Kenneth (Ellen) , Robert (Melanie) and Richard Harris; cherished grandmother of Max, Talia, Joshua, Mia, Olivia, Zachary, Anna and William; dear sister of the late Sherwin Drew; treasured aunt of Garren and Glenn Drew, and friend of many.
As a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, Arlene is fondly remembered for her extraordinary passion for life, friends and, above all else, family. She possessed a true spirit for adventure and a remarkable desire to explore and experience every corner of life. Those who knew and loved Arlene will always remember her love of food, travel, art and entertaining. There wasn't a recipe she wouldn't try, or a place she wouldn't go. Over the years, her accomplishments were many, from raising a family to turning her love of cooking into a successful career to becoming a fearless and compassionate caregiver for her beloved husband, Jerry. Arlene's ability to listen, mentor and guide was unlimited. Friends, colleagues and family members often relied upon her advice and now will honor her memory by asking 'What would Arlene do?' Arlene will forever be in our hearts and memories.
