Arnold Shapiro Obituary

Arnold "Arny" Shapiro of Palm Springs, Calif., formerly of Plymouth, Provincetown and Weymouth, Mass. died on April 27, 2010, at age 77 after a brief bout with cancer. Arnold was the beloved son of the late Gertrude and Abraham Shapiro. Brother of Herbert and Marion Shapiro of St. Louis, Mo. and Norman and Cynthia Shapiro of Needham, Mass. Dear Uncle of Alan and Stacie Shapiro of Needham, Ilene and Derek Ben David of Sudbury, Mass., Jay Shapiro of Framingham, Mass. and Ronda and Don Hendel of Cheshire, Conn. Beloved great Uncle to Alexandra and Hannah Ben David, Teddi and Jamie Shapiro, and Benjamin and Rebecca Hendel. Arny was a graduate of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy-1954 and was a Registered Pharmacist for over 50 years. Before he retired, he was a Pharmacy Manager for the Massachusetts Medicaid, Department of Welfare. Upon retirement he moved to Palm Springs where he volunteered with Jewish Family Service of the Desert and Temple Isaiah. A Memorial Service will be held at Temple Isaiah in Palm Springs at 10:00 AM on May 23, 2010. Donations in his memory may be made to Jewish Family Services of the Desert.
