Carl Wellmeier Obituary
Carl G. Wellmeier, Jr., age 72, of Palm Desert, California, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014 at Eisenhower Medical Center in Palm Desert, California. Carl was born Aug. 14, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri, son of the late Carl and Helen Wellmeier. Carl was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Roatch and Elaine Lyon, and a brother, Ronald Wellmeier. He grew up in St. Louis, and joined the United States Navy to serve for four years as a pharmacist while stationed in San Diego. He returned to the St. Louis area after his service, and worked as a manager of Suburban Pharmacy in Bridgeton, Missouri for 10 years. He enjoyed hiking and bicycling, Carl is survived by two children, Amber Trudeau of Joplin, and Brian Wellmeier and wife Dana of Columbus, Kansas; three grandchildren, Trentyn Seger, D'nae Trudeau, and Jana Allison; a sister-in-law, Debi Wellmeier of St. Louis; partner, Gary Girard of Palm Desert, California. Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Joe Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery.
