Catherine Hutter Obituary

Catherine Susanne "Susie" Hutter, 79, of Rancho Mirage, California passed away Nov. 3, 2014, in Rancho Mirage, California, after a long illness. She was born Nov. 11, 1934, to Dr. Gerald and Anna Fisch in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Susie married Clifford Hutter on Feb. 20, 1965, in Long Beach, California. She was a teacher and principal for Coachella Valley Unified School District, working in the education industry for 35 years. She was a member of the California Retired Teachers Association and member of Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers Sorority. Susie is survived by her daughter, Anne Brack of La Quinta, California; grandson, Victor Brack of Palm Desert, California; great-grandson, Hadyn Brack of Palm Desert, California; sister, Mitzie Vasey of Palos Verdes Estates, California; twin brother, Charles T. Fisch of Redondo Beach, California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; and her brother, Father Gerald M. Fisch. Visitation will be on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at Christ of the Desert Church in Palm Desert, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in La Quinta, California with interment at noon at Coachella Valley Cemetery.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the members of Susie's family. I was a teacher at Palm View when Susie was principal. She showed great concern for her teachers and students. She was always willing to listen and offer suggestions when asked. Those were my best years at Palm View.
