My thoughts, prayers, and sympathy are with the family of this amazing woman, Cris Romero. She was one in a million, and there will never be anyone like her. She was dedicated to her family, friends, community, the Boy Scouts, and taught us all a lesson in humanity and what it means to give of yourself. She worked tirelessly for many years, and I can also remember her working at JC Penney. She had a wonderful personality, a big smile that made you smile, and those beautiful hats!
She will be missed by everyone who loved and knew her. God bless you, Cris, rest in peace, and may perpetual light always shine upon you.

kris, we worked together at JC Penneys in Indio. Mr Wiseman was our boss and we were not allowed to be sick or we would be fired. I went to work sick many times but I dont remember you ever being sick. You were always a beacon of light. I remember you also .before that at the fair with your sister when she was in the pageant.

Cris, I first met you in 1980 we both worked together at JC Penney in Indio and you attended my wedding 3-21-81. I would always run into at Chamber of Commerce or Ribbon Cutting events. Your photos always appeared in the newspapers, you were always helping the community or the Boy Scouts. We LOVE YOU and will miss you. Your friends Joby and Gloria Limon Velasquez

I had the pleasure of working with Cris for many years on various chamber events in several cities. As she said "we have so much fun, don't we"? and we did. Such a beautiful, kind spirit full of joy; she will be missed and will never be forgotten.

Chris I can remember you and your mother always together in your white car. You always had a smile on your face and said hello to us kids walking home from the bus stop as we passed your house. Thank you for your kindness and your beautiful happy spirit.
