Gary B. Ragle Jr., a longtime resident of the Palm Springs area, went home to be with The Lord on January 31, 2018.

In his youth, he was an adventurous thrill-seeker who enjoyed sky diving, off-roading, roller-coasters and fast cars.

Of the many sports he enjoyed his greatest passion was for baseball. Having played for Palm Springs High and College of the Desert, Gary was known for his ability to throw runners out at every base from anywhere in the field, earning him the nickname "Rifle-Arm Ragle."

After graduating Palm Springs High in 1975, Gary attended business college in San Bernardino, CA.

In 1978, Gary married his high school sweetheart Diane Parenteau. They went on to have three children; Melissa Castro, Sheila Cooper and Gary B. Ragle, III.

During the time of raising their children Gary extended his education leading him to a long-lasting career as a court stenographer, a career he eventually retired from in 2015.

As a retiree, Gary enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved. His weekdays were filled playing dominoes with friends, hanging out with his beloved pets, keeping up with the latest in politics and indulging in his very own homemade ice cream. While his weekends were often the highlight of his week as he would spend the time rooting for his grandkids at their various sporting events.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at Los Compadres in Palm Springs, CA on February 17, 2018 at 12:00pm

He is survived by his mother Gwen Ragle, siblings; Brenda Morrison, Kelly Burge and Terry Mickla, the Mother of his children; Diane Ragle, his children; Melissa Castro, Sheila Cooper and Gary B. Ragle, III. He was a grandfather of eight that he cared for without limitation.

Gary will forever be missed and never forgotten. The family would like to express their gratitude to all involved in caring for him in his final days, as well as friends who have offered their condolences & prayers.
