Gilbert Sherman

Gilbert Sherman, 88, of Rancho Mirage, Calif., passed away November 6, 2012 in Palm Desert, Calif. He was born December 13, 1923, to Julius and Rose Sherman in Bronx, N.Y. He married Lorraine Teresi on September 7, 1942 in Las Vegas, Nev. He was in financial services in Beverly Hills, Calif. and Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a member of the 401st Bomb Group Association. He served in the Army Air Corps from January 1943 to August 1945 as a Staff Sergeant. He flew as a B-17 gunner over Germany. He is survived by his spouse, Lorraine of Rancho Mirage; daughters, Gail Jones of Salinas, Calif., Jan Sherman of Tustin, Calif., and Kimberly Moore of Tallahassee, Fla.; son, Lee Sherman of Beaverton, Ore.; and two grandchildren, Tony Sherman and Jonathan Moore.
