My family, particularly me, always loved Harold Schwartz. We have always kept in touch even after his move to Palm Springs and I will never forget that he was a kind, loyal, and special friend to us. We will miss his light in this world as he shared his many talents with all through his art of flowers and knowledge that was filled with the kind of common sense you don't see much of anymore. My heart is sad for one of my favorite families and I send my Blessings on his loss.

Harold attended a party in my office a few years ago. He handed me back a short story I had written for his English class 30 years before. It was written on one side of a paper towel. He showed it to students as the ideal short story. The fact was, Herald, that I scribbled the thing 1/2 hour before in chemistry lab. I'm glad you liked it but why just a "B"?

I remember Harold for so many things:
- he didn't like Freshmen
- he seldom took papers home
- he graciously answered all my dumb
questions about the Jewish religion
- he and Joanne were wonderful hosts
- my husband and I had our first date
at their house
- he was SOOO ready to retire
- he had a wonderful sense of humor and
a great laugh
I was lucky to work with him as long as I did.
My condolences to Joanne, Robin, David and Michael.

Dear Joanne and Family
I was shocked to read of Harold's passing. We had lost touch over the years but I will always remember what a wonderful personal and family friend he was. I wish you much sympathy. Great memories will keep him close to all of us.

Mr. Schwartz was one of my favorite teachers at W.F.West, he always had a nice smile on his face and something kind to say. I was class of 1971 and my son was class of 1993, and he also thought alot of Mr. Schwarz. You are in our thoughts.

Joanne:
God be with you and your family during this saddest of times. We can hardly believe that when we saw Harold in Palm Springs last spring, it would be the last time for drinks and snacks, laughter, sharing our memories and hugs. Life truly is precious moment by moment. We will miss him.
