Jim was born on January 8, 1940 in Mansfield Ohio to parents Arlie and Elma Kiser. An only child, he was constantly surrounded by his extended family. He graduated from Muskingum College in 1963 with a degree in Psychology, and shortly thereafter moved to California. On December 19th, 1971, he married Roberta Katherine Golden and moved to Rancho Mirage, CA with her and his new son Robert Glen Crisman, where he lived for the next 45 years. On October 5th, 1979 Roberta gave birth to her second son James J Kiser. Jim was a teacher at Indio high school for 40 years until his retirement in 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta in 2012 and will be interred beside her in the memorial wall at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio. He is survived by his two sons, his three grandsons (Sean Crisman, Kellen Crisman, and Tynan Kiser), and by thousands of his students. A memorial service will be held on July 24th, 10:15 am at The Community Church of Joy in the fellowship room of the Armenian Church or Palm Desert at the corner of Country club and Monterey. Entrusted to the care of Wiefels Funeral Directors, Palm Springs.

To the one teacher who never gave up on me, even after I dropped out of high school. I thought of you when I submitted my last final exam yesterday. Next weekend I will get my Master's Degree from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. I still haven't become a teacher the way you wanted, but I hope to remedy that in the years to come. Robert and J.J.,
I consider Jim one of my oldest friends. The untold hours we shared in each other's company are irreplaceable. Many of them were lots of laughs and some sad and tearful. There was a mutual confidence that we shared in each other's friendship. I will miss him.

Jim was a great Ritual Coach and member of The Indio Elks Lodge. He will be missed by all who are members of this Charitable Organization. He was also one of my Teachers at Indio High School. Go Rajahs
