Joan Dulong Obituary
Indian Wells - Long time resident of Indian Wells, Joan Dulong, passed away at her home at the Eldorado Country Club, Indian Wells, on Sunday August 23rd.
Joan (or Joanie as she was known) was born on November 8, 1925, in San Bernardino to Dorothy and Bernard Dresser. She was a graduate of Stanford University and was a devoted wife and mother, and occasional model in her younger years. She was also active for many years in the local chapter of the Republican party, and supported a number of charities. She moved permanently to Indian Wells with her husband Jack Dulong in 1992.
She is survived by her two children: Martha Stein Sochas and Jack L. Stein III and her five grandchildren: Laura Sochas, Jack Stein IV, Thomas Sochas, Nicholas Stein, and Simon Sochas.
A celebration of Joan's life will be organized at a later date. No flowers, please.

As I was writing my annual Christmas card to Joanie, I was saddened to discover this online notice of her passing. My mother Charlyn was Joanie’s (1st) cousin and, after Mom passed in 2008, I stayed in touch through occasional cards and phone calls. My mother greatly admired Joanie and cherished their time together. I so appreciated Joanie’s sweet thoughtfulness during our conversations. I will miss our chats about family updates and recollection of summer visits with all the cousins as youngsters. God bless Joanie and hugs to the family - always in my thoughts...

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Joanie's passing. My mom is going to be so very sad. We send flowers for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter every year. I just got a message from the florist that they found a neighbor who told them that she had passed. I am so sad to hear this. With this crazy time, I understand no services. Please know that we loved your Mom/Grandmom. Hugs to all of you. Drue Schreyer ( & Joanie Schreyer - I'll tell her tomorrow.)
