Dear Dad:

Yes I do call you Dad even though you are my father in law. Now that you have gone to heaven to be with our maker I know that we will miss you very much. We will miss your smiling face and your great sense of humor. It truly was an honor for me to become part of your family when I married your only daughter Michelle. I will never forget the wonderful times we had together and the many discussion we shared. Even though my heart is filled with sorrow and pain about losing you I know that you are in a better place now and that you are preparing heaven for all of us to be together again. Some day we will see each other again.

You were more than just a father in law you were also a very good friend. A person that kept encouraging me and gave me hope when things looked bleak. You always had kind words for me and I will miss that support. Once the tears have dried up we will still have these wonderful memories of you and nobody can take those from us.

Dad, I pray that I will be able to love Michelle the way you have loved Mom. I am sorry that we never did get to take that trip to Laughlin like we planned it would have been wonderful.

I just thank God that you did not suffer. And now Dad and dear friend may you rest in peace until we meet again. You will always be in my heart and thoughts.

So long,

Your loving son in law Emile

Goodbye DAD, I need to say goodbye although you're with me.I stand beside your grave, yet you are here.I miss you terribly and hope you miss me. But when i turn to you, your always near.I talk to you as though you lived within me,Not changed but simply moved in from outside.I know each day you must a little leave me,But here,as always, you must be my guide. You were and are and will be,just as ever,In many minds and hearts, not only mine.No physical event can such live sever;Death is a dimension, not a line. And to say goodbye does not mean you are gone:So long as I still love you,you live on. Your Son
