I am deeply saddened by finding this obituary entry just this past weekend, 10/17/20. Larry was my husband Brian Turk's oldest (from kindergarten) and closest life long friend. They spent a great amount of time as children and into their high school years, in each other's homes. Shared many sports and other activities.
Brian even took me to meet Larry (each of us were living in Torrance at the time) on our very first date, driving me all the way to the desert of Coachella Valley . I had never been to a desert before !
Larry became my friend as well as time went onward. Brian and I even bought a second home in Palm Springs for a while. Larry came to spend several months at our home in MA, where I am from, when Brian and I moved back there in 1986. My first grandchild, living in MA with parents, had been born. Larry helped with many household projects in our new house as well as visiting. His humor and friendship a source of joy to the three of us. Including our puppy, a sweet mischievous Westie, whom we had obtained.
When Brian and I retired from our business in MA, we moved back to the CA desert in 2000. Brian's health was unfortunately poor as well, from a chronic disease. Larry still living in the area, visited us at our home there quite often, sharing meals and conversations. When Brian's illnesses accelerated, Larry and he shared many chats about their lives and their history of young years together at school.
Larry was devastated by Brian's acute final illness, visiting him at Eisenhower Medical Center and again at skilled nursing facility in Indio until Brian's passing June 2016. I am so very sorry we didn't speak more after I moved back to east coast to be nearer to my own family, that same year. I tried to reach Larry by telephone, got disconnected telephone automated message and even my attempt at a letter failed, getting returned to me as no such person there, quite recently.
I would very much appreciate speaking with any family member, should they wish to reach out to me. I can be reached at my email address: [email protected] . I live in Chapel Hill, NC now. Thank you!
Rest in Peace Larry, you are deeply missed. I will fondly, always remember knowing you.

Just now heard of Larry's passing. Truly honored to have known this wonderful human being. I've worked as a volunteer basketball coach at the rec on and off over the past years. When I would walk in and see his smiling face, I would say, "how's my older brother, Larry?" Larry's reply with that beautiful smile, " Brother Brock, people tell me that I've never had it so good." I 'm beyond grateful to have known this man and for years now have adopted his quote.

"May the road rise to meet you, May the wind always be at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields, And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand." An Irish Blessing

I am so sad to hear of Larry's passing. I admired both he and his brother Steve as I competed against them in baseball and football in H.S. Larry was an outstanding man and I am sure he will be missed. Miles Standish

Mr. Price,
You touched a lot of lives in a positive way, you openly shared your personal trials and tribulations in hopes that it might help others. You were truly a positive ambassador of the Indio Recreation Center. You will truly be missed. I know that you will start a work out club in heaven while wearing those knee braces. Rest in peace my friend.
