It has been almost a year since God took this sweet, kind, beautiful woman Home. She was a true Lady....Always a smile on her face, always a kind word for everyone. I have so many great memories of her. She always made me feel like part of the family....She was so loving to her family..She had a great sense of humor...She called her jokes "chicken jokes"...She always made me laugh...She had a beautiful cat named Morris and she loved him...Morris loved to sit on my lap (thats another story)...She always seemed happy and full of life...My saddest memory of her was when her beloved son, Richard was taken from her...
She has a family that loves and misses her...I am just one of the many lucky people that had a chance to know her and to be a Friend.
Rest In Peace Lupe

My sincere condolences to all the Valencia Family,
There are people in my lifetime that I never will forget and Lupe is one of them. I met her when I use to do her hair years ago... she was indeed a kind and wonderful lady. She also had a good sense of humor, we would laugh till we cried. She made me feel good, thats the kind of lady Lupe was. My prayers are with you for I know how much you will miss this great lady. It is with our deepest sympathies that we will not be able to attend Lupe's funeral. We wish to express our sincere condolences to Tio Tony and the family and will continue to pray for the family through our absence. Tia Lupe always expressed her true love through her kindness and her willingness to help whenever she could. We will miss you, but knowingly she is in a better place...Rest in Peace Tia Lupe!

Priscilla, I don't know if you'll remember me, but we went to Jefferson and Indio High together. Those of your mom's generation are leaving us one by one and it's very sad to see them depart. I salute your mother and am proud to say I was born here, too, and in good company! Sending you my deepest sympathy.

My gramma was a loving, caring, generous, giving and fun person. Her death was inevitable and has been missed tremendously since her passing. She lived a long life filled with many great events; I would only hope to live a life such as hers. She had an adoring husband, 4 compassionate daughters and one son that was unlike no other. I was lucky enough to be one of her 13 grandkids, and was responsible for giving her 3 of the 17 great grandchildren she had the chance to love. The memories I have of her will flourish and were countless. The Christmas gatherings, her infamous Biscochos (which to this day no one can duplicate), the way the rollers were set in her hair, her nail polishing ritual, and her love for Siamese cats. I cannot forget the summer trips to Hurkey Creek; the nights and days we spent in the trailer, the way she made her hobo pies, the collection of pine cones we set out to find and last but not least the rides up the mountain in the back of the gramma and grampas camper… no need to go into detail, but we all know the details (wink, wink).
My kids called her Gramma with the Kitty, and I remember while being around my grandparents how my grampa referred to her as Mother. She was the glue in our family, she taught us well and she will be missed in a way that gives me a pain in my heart and a lump in my throat. In the end I must remember that she’s in a better place where she is happy and finally able to meet up with my Tio Richard. I love you Gramma, your loving granddaughter Kathy.
