Marilyn M. Scott

Marilyn M. Scott (nee Kisling) long time resident of Palm Desert, Calif. and recently of Rancho Mirage, Calif., passed away July 8, 2011, at age 82. A devout Catholic fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edward A. Scott; four children, Daniel (Laura), Christopher (Tammy), Melody Luke, and Kevin (Lisa); seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Brian (Jennifer), Holly (Jon) Paider, Katie, Alison Luke, Lindsey Luke, and Erin; and great-grandson, Jonah Paider. Dear sister of Patricia Meier, Rosejoan Holden, and Jacob Walter Kisling, Jr. (Mary). She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jacob Walter and Mildred A. Kisling of St. Louis, Mo.; brother-in-law, John J. Meier; and brother-in-law, Jerome T. Holden. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. At her request, the family will be having a Memorial Celebration Service (in lieu of a funeral service). She has chosen to donate her body to the Loma Linda University Bodies for Science program.
