I was so sorry to hear of Pat's passing. My son had Pat at LBJ and she was his turning point in his education. She worked one on one with all her students. She also had my granddaughter in her class. She was an extraordinary teacher. I feel sorry for the future children who will not benefit from her caring ways. Her family and friends are in our prayers.

Pat Sands was my grandson, Eugene Iniguez's, everything at LBJ in Indio. She and Eugene shared a very special relationship and anytime we went to Indio, he would beg to go see her at LBJ. All his teachers since have had to pass muster and be compared to Pat.

I was so sad to see Pat's obituary today. I had the pleasure of meeting her as one of her dealers at the casino. She loved to play 3 card poker. She always had a smile on her face and was very professional. My prayers are with her family and partner of many years. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.

As a speech/language therapist, I had the opportunity to meet Pat at several of the schools where she worked. ALWAYS a positive attitude and a work ethic that showed in her students. A fine young lady will be missed.
