Ronald Bakal Obituary

Ronald G. Bakal

- - Sept. 13, 1945 - Aug. 4, 2018

Loving father, Toni and Gina, husband (beautiful Mary), grandfather, Peter and Brixie, brother (Tanny and Jack). Attorney for 47 years in Beverly Hills and Palm Desert. Specialized in injured parties - accident victims, the people of the Marshall Islands, Atomic Veterans, artists, musicians and creative copyright owners. In all these matters he used the power of litigation to fight for the rights of the little guys against the hypocrisy of big government and big business. Loved professional and college sports, and was a high school letterman. An avid sports spectator and horseplayer. Saw them all, World Series, Super Bowl, Rose Bowl, U. S. Open and PGA. A world traveler, travel, art, Italy, and family were his passions.

Dearest Tanny, I just learned that you had lost Ron two years ago. Please accept my condolences on your loss. He was one terrific man. That both he and Larry Raphael were taken at virtually the same time is unthinkable.

I am sorry for your loss. I had a case where Ron was opposing counsel. He was such a good guy.

I just heard of Ron's passing yesterday. Ron and I played Little League baseball on the same team and Carl was our coach. I called Ron maybe 6 months prior to his passing after not having spoken since High School. The first thing he said to me was " Frank you could never hit that curve ball". Extremely sad to hear of his passing I was looking forward to reconnecting. He had a wonderful warm soul. RIP my friend.❤

Dear Tanny
So sorry to hear of your loss. I remember Ron as a darling little boy who I always thought resembled his father to a tee. I lost my sister 3 years ago and it has left a void that cannot be filled. I would love to hear from you,

I had the pleasure of his friendship for my whole life. Ron and I went to school together, played sports together and had the same friends. He was sort of a hero of mine. He possessed the kind of character that I hoped I would develop. There was a kindness about him that made you like him, instantly. But he also had a passion for competition that made him a quality athlete. He is, in my mind, the all american boy, who grew up and was a wonderful family man. Although we didn't see each other much in later life, I always considered myself close in spirit. I remember the time Ron, his Dad Carl and I had lunch. When Carl arrived he and Ron hugged and Ron kissed his Dad on the cheek. I thought so much of that scene, that from that day when ever I saw my Dad I gave him a hug and a kiss. Ron Bakal will always have a fond place in my heart and mind. Rest in peace my friend. You left us with great memories!!
