Ruggiero Pelosi Obituary

Ruggiero G. Pelosi, 76, died suddenly at his home in Palm Desert, Calif., on Nov. 5. He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara, three step children: David Norcross, Greg Norcross, and Kimberly Lyons; two sisters-in-law, 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. An accomplished musician, Ruggi held a Master's Degree in Violin Performance from San Francisco State College and traveled the country with Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops Orchestra. A native of San Francisco, he played with many orchestras, and spent the last 35 years before he retired with the world-class San Francisco Ballet Orchestra. Following retirement in 2000, Ruggi and Barbara moved to Palm Desert to enjoy the warm, dry climate. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life for Ruggi will be held on Jan. 6, 2013 at a location yet to be determined. Those who wish to attend, please RSVP to [email protected]. All are welcome.
