Socorro Ruiz was born October 19, 1935 and went to heaven May 12, 2021, at 4 p.m. Socorro was a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother, great grand-mom, and friend. She was born in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico to Eva and Hemerejildo Marquez. She lived life to the fullest and was loved by everyone who got to know her. Socorro is survived by 3 siblings, 9 children, and a lot of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Socorro was best known for her tamales, inappropriate humor and love for dancing. Even when her body started to fail, she still was there for others and became a mother figure and friend to the nurses and employees at Manor Care. If anyone had a problem, they would turn to Socorro and she would listen, give advice, or make you laugh making anyone feel a little lighter and care for. She was everyones Grandma Coco and became family to everyone.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday May 27th starting at 1:00pm at The Garden Fellowship 79733 Country Club Dr, Bermuda Dunes, CA 92203
