Stanley Goodman Obituary

Stanley B. Goodman, age 89, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2011. Stanley was President of Goodman Jewelers, a successful investor and businessman, and charitable throughout his life. He lived in Minnesota, Boca Raton, Fla., and Rancho Mirage, Calif. He was a member of Temple Israel and Oak Ridge Country Club in Minneapolis, Minn. and former member of Tamarisk Country Club and The Club at Morningside. Stanley was a marvelous husband, father and grandfather. He made more friends than anyone could count wherever he went. He genuinely wanted everyone around him to be happy and his favorite expression was "Keep Smiling". Stanley's family would also like to thank his many fine caregivers. Preceded in death by parents, Albert and Henrietta Goodman and Max Goodman; brothers Raymond, Arthur and Eugene Goodman. He is survived by his wife, Lois; children, Richard Goodman, Bruce Goodman, and Susan Rappaport (David Suss); grandson, Bradley Rappaport; sister, Erma Lipschultz; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held in Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to the Lois and Stanley Goodman Family Fund at Jewish Family and Children's Service of Minneapolis, 13100 Wayzata Blvd., Suite 400, Minnetonka, MN 55305 or Donor's Favorite Charity.
