Thomas Lolwing Obituary

Thomas Arthur Lolwing passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 from complications with Parkinson's Disease. He was born June 12, 1953 in Milwaukee, WI to Joseph and Marie Lolwing. He had one older sister, Mary Jo. Thomas loved his family very much and often said that he had the best mother and sister anyone could ask for.

As a boy the family moved to Tucson, AZ and he attended St. Cyril's Elementary School. His family then moved to Rancho Mirage, CA where he attended Nellie Coffman J.H. and went on to graduate from Palm Springs High School. From 1972-1974 he served as a Postal Clerk in Korea for the U.S. Army. After his Army service he went on to be an exemplary employee for the United States Post Office in Palm Springs, CA for 22 years.

On April 1,1978 he married Margo Rowe and would become a very caring, hard working, and devoted father to four children, Destuni (JR Tank), Joy (Chris Stoker), Benjamin (Lindsey), and Kendall.

Thomas had many treasured moments in life, but to him, the most important day of his life was September 8, 1979. That is when he made public, his personal dedication to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Sadly in 1995 he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Despite suffering with this debilitating illness for nearly twenty years he never lost his love for life, music, or for his family. Neither did he lose his wonderful sense of humor.

Tom kept his precious integrity to God as he faithfully endured down to the end, he could say as the Apostle Paul did at 2 Tim. 4:7 "I have fought the fine fight, I have run the race to the finish…"

Tom had great faith in the promises found in the Bible, including what is found at Jeremiah 29:10b,11 "I will make good my promise by bringing you back to this place. For I well know the thoughts that I am thinking towards you declares Jehovah, 'thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope."

Thomas is preceded in death by his father Joseph, mother Marie, and sister Mary Jo Martin. He is survived by Destuni Tank and sons Quinlan, Dillon, and Cameron. Joy Stoker and children Asia and Gavin. Sons Benjamin and Kendall. Nieces Ann Marie Ledden, Jennifer Yeutter, Laura Martin-Spencer, and Julie Bright as well as many great nieces and nephews.

We look forward to being reunited with our loving father and dear friend.

Memorial services will be held: Saturday December 20, 2014 at 4:00pm, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 72-800 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert, CA 92260
