Victor Rothschild Obituary

Victor Bennett Rothschild, 85, of Palm Desert passed away Dec. 14, 2008 in Denver, Colo. of natural causes. He was born Nov. 11, 1923, to Alexander Rothschild and Jennie Bennett Rothschild in Los Angeles. He owned and operated numerous car washes and gas stations in Los Angeles until his retirement in the early 1980's. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Para-Trooper. He is survived by his previous wife, Ingela Keiller; daughter Alana Groom; son Ryan Rothschild; and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his previous wife, Vera Ellen Rohe; their daughter, Victoria Ellen Rothschild; and his four siblings. Memorial services and Brunch will be held at 10:30 AM on Sun., Dec. 21, 2008 at Indian Wells Golf Resort located at 44-500 Indian Wells Lane in Indian Wells. The family suggests donations be made to The Shady Tree Foundation at www.shadytreefoundation.org

Victor was a wondrful kind man. My husband, Walter Henry, enjoyed a number of years working for Victor and they became good friends. We will all miss Victor's spirit and good nature. We sent you prayers and sympathies.
