Andrew Anderson Obituary

August 7, 2003 - March 24, 2008
Andrew "Drew Bear" Anderson, 4, of Buffalo, went home to be with his creator on Monday, March 24th. Funeral services are set for 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 28th at Northview Baptist Church in Bryan, TX. Rev. Neal Matthews of Crosby, Texas will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Burial will be in Bryan City Cemetery.

Drew was born against all odds on August 7, 2003 in Bryan. He attended the PPCD program at Buffalo Elementary School.
Drew was such a special gift from God. He touched so many people in the short time that God let us have him. He was such a fighter, with the heart of a lion. That lion's heart was just tired, and the Lord decided to call His angel home.

Not only did he touch so many hearts and lives, he never met a stranger. He always had a smile on his face that would light up the room. His happiness was contagious, and his love showed all over his gorgeous little face. If anyone was having a bad day, his smile could make you forget your worries, and you'd smile with him. He was very loved, and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.

Drew was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Carl Gene Anderson, Ben Bernard Holder, and Michael Dean Haugan.

Survivors include his Dad, Carl L. Anderson, his Mama, Aaryn Holder; his step dad, John Johnston; his "sister" Brianna Johnston; his "Brother" Robert Johnston; his grandmothers, Linda Andrews, Marla Anderson, Judy Johnston; his grandparents, Stan and Dottye Tisdale; his great-grandmother, Dorothy Bilbo; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and countless friends.

Flowers are welcome, but the family prefers that memorials be made to either the Andrew Anderson Memorial Fund at Aggieland Credit Union, 2127 E. William Joel Bryan Pkwy, Bryan, TX 77802; or to Ronald McDonald House in Drew's memory, 1907 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030.

I read about drew last week. Never had the chance to meet him, but looking at his smile and hearing about all the good in his big heart has touched my soul. I spent the weekend playing with my kids, thinking of drew often. I passed out many hugs and kisses to my kids on his behalf. Even in heaven Drew is still reaching out and touching people. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Aaryn,
I have known you and Drew bear from day one of his life. He was a joy to be around. I cherish the days that I got to keep him. Even though he wasn't laughing and smiling yet I always knew there was something angelic about him. I am pretty sure he is exploring all sorts of new things right now and having a blast. He will be missed by sooo many people that truly cared and loved him! I still want to keep in touch and if there is anything that I can do to help just let me know.

Aaryn, as a mother my heart and prayers go out to you and your family. The loss of a child is a mother's greatest fear, one that I'm so very sorry you now have to bear. Know that Drew Bear is now in heaven with your Daddy and mine. Can you just imagine the things they are doing with such a precious child? If there is anything we can do for you, please don't hesistate to ask.
