Anna Perrone Obituary

October 5, 1911 – October 3, 2009

Anna "Annie" Perrone, 97, of Bryan, passed away Saturday morning in College Station, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday October 7, with a rosary at 6 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2009, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Bryan with the Reverend Patrick Ebner and Monsignor John Malinowski officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Anna was born October 5, 1911 in Robertson County, Texas to Frank and Matilda Consolo Loria. She married Lee Perrone in 1928. She lived her entire life in the Burleson and Brazos County areas.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and great-aunt to her family. Anna enjoyed her large vegetable garden and sharing the vegetables with her family.

In her backyard she had two fig trees, which produced lots of figs. Everyone loved the figs and making fig preserves. Her specialty was baking fig cookies and pies.

Anna had a great love of growing yellow daffodils, paper whites, amaryllis and roses. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and San Salvador Mission Church.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, and her parents; two brothers, Sam Loria and Pete Frank Loria; four sisters, Rosie Scarmardo, Louise Medlin, Mary Territo, and Pauline Mistretta; and nephew, Carl Pete Scarmardo.

She is survived by her daughter, Rosa Lee Perrone, of Bryan; nieces and nephews, Frank and Donna Scarmardo, and Rosalie and Gene Polzer, of Burleson County, Matilda and Lonnie Minze, of The Woodlands, Marilda and Terry Hugo, of Sugarland, Jobe Scarmardo, of Brazos County; and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Anthony's Catholic Church Building Fund.

Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.mem.com.
