Carolyn Denise Drewyor
Oct 13, 1966 - Jul 22, 2025
Carolyn Denise White Drewyor, age 58, of College Station, Texas, passed away in her home on July 22nd, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
Carolyn was born on October 13th, 1966 in Hearne, Texas, the daughter of Sherry McLeroy Cockman.
Carolyn graduated from Seguin High School in 1984, then joined the Navy.
While in the Navy, Carolyn met and married Brian Drewyor on December 24th, 1986, in Adak, Alaska. Together, they had 3 children: Jaime Rhiannon, Audrey Elizabeth, and Travis Leonard. Although Carolyn and Brian later divorced, they remained committed to co-parenting and raising their children with love.
After her time in the Navy, Carolyn worked first as a cook and then as a care provider at Stepping Stone School, a daycare and preschool, in College Station, Texas for 16 years, where she touched the lives of countless children with her patience, kindness, and nurturing spirit. In 2011, Carolyn started her own home daycare called Carolyn's Little Angels. She remained in childcare until her cancer diagnosis in October of 2014. After closing her home daycare, Carolyn worked as a Pharmacy Technician at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine until her retirement in 2023.
Carolyn loved singing, especially karaoke. If she wasn't out performing with a mic in hand, her home would do just fine. Most mornings, her children woke up to the sound of her singing playful, made-up songs. She also cherished her weekly trivia nights and monthly pedicure dates with friends, always bringing joy and laughter wherever she went.
To her family, Carolyn was the glue that held everyone together, and to her friends, Carolyn was the one who made everyone feel like family. Her presence was a gift, and her love will continue to live on in all who knew her.
Remaining to cherish Carolyn's memory are her children, Audrey Lawson (Brian) and Travis Drewyor (Kate); grandchildren, Abram Drewyor, Jack Lawson, Avery Drewyor, Wyatt Craig, and Kaylee Lawson; sisters, Jennifer Montes, Nikki Puckett, and Erica Java; brother, Leonard White Jr; nieces and nephews, Seana Strother, Cristina Labbate, Valerie Smith, Natalie Garner, Leonard White III, Elliott Ramos, Jonah Montes, Jaylen Puckett, Ayden Java, Peyton Williams, and Lane Williams; and several grand-nieces and nephews.
Preceding Carolyn in death are her daughter, Jaime Drewyor; and mother, Sherry Cockman.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Hillier Funeral Home, 4080 Hwy 6, College Station, Texas, 77845.
