Delores Warren Obituary
Delores was born to Ella and Clarence Warren, farming pioneers in the Brazos Valley during the Depression. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred Ackerman, her son, Wesley, and her five siblings: Lucille, Lloyd, Margaret, Frances, and Clarence Jr.
Delores began her freshman year at Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan but left to move with the family to Houston where she finished her education. Delores completed a degree from Elliot Business College in Houston, and she began her career in the business world, working on the Nasa Gemini Space Program for Lockheed Aircraft. Later she found her niche in commercial real estate development, working as an Executive Assistant in that field until her retirement in 1999 when she moved back to Bryan/College Station.
Delores volunteered in the library of the Veteran's Hospital in Houston, and then after her retirement, at Sherwood and Sheridan Nursing Homes. Her greatest joy was caring for her elderly mother in the latter years of her life.
Delores looked forward to reuniting with her loved ones and spending eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Delores is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Delores was an angel! She was my neighbor for a few years. And babysat my kids Kayla and Caleb often. She drove me to the hospital when I was in labor with Kayla. We tried to have weekly coffee at her house and went to church often! She is so beloved and a treasure and am so thankful she is before the face of her Abba father and reunited with loved ones! We will miss her!

I wish I'd known she passed. She was such a wonderful person and loved family, like I do. I'm sure she could've told me quite a bit about our shared family history, but life keeps us very busy.

I have fond memories of family gatherings when our children were young. Delores brother, Clarence Jr, and I were married for 36 yrs before his death.
