Jerry Nail Obituary
Jerry Merl Nail, 68, of the New Wehdem Community of Austin County, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2008, at St. Joseph's Regional Health Center in Bryan. Services are set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem with Pastor Virgil Pecht officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Brenham Memorial Chapel.
He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.
Jerry began his life-long insurance career at the Hartford Insurance Company in Houston in January of 1961. He joined Anco Insurance in Bryan where he remained for nineteen years. He then continued as an insurance agent in the Bryan and Brenham areas.
Survivors include his wife, Anna B. Nail of the New Wehdem Community; parents, Walter and Maurine Nail of Bellville; son and daughter-in-law, James Bradley and Janna of College Station; daughter, Julie Adams and grandson Connor Adams of Brenham; brothers and sisters-in-law, Horace and Myrna Nail of Brookshire and Owen and Janice Nail of Athens, Ga.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
